The areas one by one
Pattaya Beach
Pattaya Beach puts cottages and bigger resorts on the same sand, from Paradise Cottage Resort to Akira (from ฿6,8001) and Ananya Lipe Resort. Mali Resort Pattaya Beach says five dive shops5 are within easy walking distance. Bundhaya Resort hosts meetings for up to 200 people6 and private parties, if you are weighing beach resort event planning options.
Sunrise Beach
Sunrise Beach is the sunrise side: Wapi Resort says its beach faces east7. The sea gypsy (Urak Lawoi) villages lie mostly on the far east side near Sunrise Beach1.
Coco Beach Bungalows and Idyllic Concept Resort, which says it is on Sunrise Beach8, share the shore with Serendipity Beach Resort Koh Lipe. Serendipity keeps a secluded area at the end of the beach for its own guests9. Irene Resort Koh Lipe’s newer wing at 151 Sunrise Beach10 adds 39 sea-view rooms11.
Walking Street
Walking Street is the inland strip for hostels, with Sang Chan Hostel, Nest Hostel Lipe and Bloom Cafe and Hostel. It has a 7-Eleven with an ATM1, and Irene Resort’s Flexible Stay offer includes a free shuttle to Walking Street12. For meals near your room, see the guide to Koh Lipe restaurants.
The north tip
Wikivoyage puts Irene Resort on the northwest coast, where Sunrise Beach and Sunset Beach meet1. Irene Pool Villa Resort, Koh Lipe gives its own address as 91 Moo 7, Sunrise Beach, and has 16 pool villas in three types: Sand, Sun and Tree10.
Mountain Resort sits at the east end of Sunset Beach on the north tip, and Karma Beach faces the channel between Ko Adang and Ko Lipe1.

Breakfast is not always in the rate: Castaway Resort does not include it13, and Trip.com lists it there at THB 30014 for adults. Plan the boat leg with getting to the jetty step by step.

When to go
Koh Lipe stays open throughout the monsoon18; what shuts is the marine park around it. Wikivoyage gives the high season as November to May1.

What the season means for your stay:
- Tarutao National Marine Park began closing on 16 May 2024 and was due to reopen on 30 September18.
- The Adang-Rawi islands close from 16 May to 14 October, in a 2019 report19.
- From mid-June to mid-October, the only way in is by speedboat from Pak Bara20. The Langkawi ferry runs from mid-October to mid-May20: see getting from Langkawi to Thailand by boat.
- Mali Resort Pattaya Beach says Lipe’s immigration office works only in high season, November until late April21.
- Trip.com lists Mali Resort Pattaya Beach’s restaurant as unavailable from 25 April 2026 to 10 January 202722.
- Ten Moons packages run 1 May to 31 October17, and Irene’s Family Paradise offer covers 1 October – 30 November 202615.

Can I haggle over room prices on Koh Lipe?
Wikivoyage says prices are uniform on the island and haggling does not work.
Is Koh Lipe inside Tarutao National Marine Park?
It sits on the park's border and, by Wikivoyage's account, outside its jurisdiction, which is why building is allowed there.
Can my hotel arrange the boat to Koh Lipe?
Some can. Irene Resort's Transfer Package includes the shared speedboat from Pak Bara, Serendipity sells a Room & Transfer Package from THB 11,700, and Castaway arranges transfers from Hat Yai, Satun, Krabi and Phuket.
